I’m trying to work myself out of a job. On Sunday I didn’t really feel like cooking but then I didn’t really feel like going out. So what better strategy than to make kid#2 cook dinner for the family. I asked her to think up the menu and do some background reading of recipes on … More Kid#2’s Zoodles in Tomato Cream Sauce
The tricky part about traveling is the temptation to have something sweet to end off the meal. I usually carry some low carb chocolate for these trips but truly, there is only so much chocolate one can eat and I was already getting a bit bored of that. Kid#2 has been doing really well holding … More Microwave Blueberry Mug Cake
I recently discovered reverse searing. The principles of reverse searing is beautifully explained by J Kenji Lopez-Alt and I completely fell in love with the method of cooking thick cut steaks. December is a wonderful time of the year. Work doesn’t quite grind to a halt but lets up gently for a while and allows one to take a deep breath before the next big thing. 2017 has been an eventful year for me – lots of interesting new experiences like trying to balance work and … More Wafu Miso Steak and Cauliflower Purée
